Bio:

Rob Defaze is a Musician, Record Producer, Singer / Songwriter, and Multi-Instrumentalist from New York. Stepping out from the shadows as a guitar and stage tech he created , founded and  began with the name Defaze in 2007.  After auditioning for American Idol at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Rob was invited to meetings with industry executives before landing a deal with music producer Rick Slater of Nivkor Multimedia. A 3 song demo was made and history began.

After months of shopping around, Rob had struck a meeting with music producer Roee Star at Mongoloid Studios in  New York City. A relationship was created and a deal to record the full length debut album had begun. After finishing the first 5 songs of the recording process, there was an idea to rent a house in the Catskills, secluded, away from the big city, to rehearse and finish the recording of what would wind up becoming "The Recreation". Rob Defaze, Roee Star and drummer Tomer Ram spent the summer of 2008 recording the final songs of the album.

Days before mixing was to begin by Daniel Jakubovic of VMM Records, "Not Giving Up" was presented last minute song to Roee Star insisting that it had to be recorded for the album, and was knocked out in a single day session at Mongoloid Studios where Defaze and Star before the final album cut. "Not Giving Up", went on to become the highest streamed song from the album.

"The Re-Creation" was  independently released in April 2009 under Label 'Faze One Productions' and went on to be independently successful selling units worldwide through Myspace, iTunes and Amazon.

Wordwide publicity and radio play thanks to the easiness of Myspace and the beginning of social media made it perfect for independent artists to create fan bases on their own. You & Yourself"  "Not Giving Up" and "Home For The Summer" created a huge buzz and led to the formation of the live band DEFAZE.

Rob invited 3 very talented local musicians to join the live performance force and had created  the heavy impact live aspect of the songs off of "The ReCreation". After a successful run of concerts including the famous Webster Hall, The Bitter End, Asbury Park, Fontna's and a sold out performance at the Crash Mansion, Rob went on to part ways with his live performers. to pursue a different sound and in the following month and finished out the year with the first solo performance at the Blender Theater which has since been the final show.

Since 2010 Defaze has released 3 albums and is currently recording 3 simultaneous albums in Baque recording studios.
